New Balance and Coco Gauff: The Rising Star of Tennis
The future of tennis has finally arrived!!
After seeing several victories slip away from her, Coco Gauff finally won her first Grand Slam. The prodigy defeated No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka to win the 2023 US Open on home soil.
It's easy to forget that Gauff is only 19 years old. And yet, she became the 11th teenager to win a Grand Slam in singles, and will now be ranked No. 3 in the world!
It's an iconic and career-defining victory for the young American; let's note that Cori (her real name) has just accomplished this feat with her own New Balance sneakers on her feet: the New Balance Coco CG 1.
New Balance saw Gauff's potential and took an interest in the teenager from a young age. In 2022, Gauff's first "signature shoe" officially hit the shelves. Since its initial launch, the Coco CG1 has been released in several colorways that highlight Cori's adorable personality.
Now the "City Brights" colorway (UCHCOCOB) is part of the legend, and fans are starting to snap them up. Fans can rest assured, New Balance will release the model with new colorways, and probably think about the CG2...
